this is my structure project. i made a pvc skeleton and then wrapped it in chicken wire, after i put cardboard on the inside and started to paper mache the entire thing inside and out. after i finished paper mache i painted it a bunch of different colors and then painted over it in black so the colors would pop through a little bit. i hate how it turned out but i love it also. its a giant failure in my opinion but it is my failure and thats why its cool. i learned a lot from making this and i'm glad i made it because at least i learned stuff from it. i still haven't put in all the music equipment and i haven't fully been able to cover all the light leaks but i want to keep working on it and i think i'll fully finish it as a piece once i use it in a performance.
Hi luis, i can see all the time and effort put into the skin. From our discussion during the first critique I remember your description of how you wanted to create the skin. I'd say you did well in transforming the structure by going away from the pvc skeleton. I feel similarly about the end result of my piece, it was maybe a failure aesthetically, but a success in problem solving.
